Courtney from London is a British Jazz mulit-instrumentalist, although he learnt to play clarinet at school he is mainly known for his saxaphone playing he also plays the flute and plays piano. Courtney recieved an OBE in 2000 and a CBE in 2009 for his services to Jazz music he also has a Honorary Doctorate from  University of Westminster in 2004 and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Southampton  in 2010 .
